Just posted on Facebook, which I thought was pretty darn funny:

"Just heard that over 15yrs ago (9/22/97) as a 16yr old, I made my debut on the ATP rankings...debuting at #803 after picking up 12pts. Here's to another 15yrs on tour....hahahahah :)"

Guess that 15 years was money well spent! :)

Another 15 years? Hmmm. Wonder if, at the age of 46, he will finish up where he started when he was 16 and come full circle? #803 in the rankings!

Wow I'd like to see a 46-year old Federer still toughing it out against some 20-year-olds.:)

I like the extended "hahahahahah" at the end. It's almost like there is actually evil laughter erupting from Roger as he sits there and contemplates the fact he'll be on the tour another 15 years to crush the competition.

I don't find it very funny. Just seems like an interesting tidbit, that's all.

I think the funny part is that he's implying that he will keep playing for another 15 years.

Jimmy Connors (1970-1996 - stopped playing majors after the 1992 US Open)

Nadal might as well retire, since Maestro plans to play another decade, racking up a few more GS titles.

What about all time? Rosewall ?

What about all time? Rosewall ?

Probably Bill Tilden (1912-1952). Tilden died of a huge stroke at the age of 60, just before he was due to travel to Cleveland to participate in the 1953 US Pro tournament.

Of course he didn't. So funny how people believe that Federer actually uses that mycrap website... That's just a marketing page for all his sponsors. He has a person in charge of updating it, and posting some meaningless stuff from time to time just to keep people awake and talking about him.

Very true. Professional tennis players can't spend all day amusing their hordes of facebook fans.

Go to may 23rd 2009. He posted a video explaining it was his own facebook page. He may not always be the one to update, but there's been times where he definitely is the one updating it himself.

Waiting for favorite poster to comment on his favorite players underwear in this thread.

Its only a matter of time.

On topic: It would be a sight to see if Fed could hang around that long.

That's such a un-federer like facebook post :p I think most of his and Nole's posts are done by someone else, whereas Nadal seems to spend most of his time on facebook nowadays... posting raunchy half naked pictures of himself in Spain

It takes so little time to update your facebook status that whenever there's a post by an athlete that doesn't sound like a robot speaking in the 3rd person, I'd totally believe that they did it themselves.

I know during a radio interview a few years ago he said he wanted to play through all the different generations of tennis players like agassi did.

And people say players that are ranked #100-1,000 in the world are crap. It's obviously very hard to achieve a ranking that high.

I actually do think he updates his FB himself sometimes. Not always, I would say it's more often that it's someone else than him, but you can kind of notice when he's behind it.

Just my two cents. At least I enjoyed it a fair bit! :)

Djoko does most of his updates himself. They really concur with his personality - esp. the one with the squirrel at Wimby, etc. those personal funny things.

for someone who can't wait for nadal to be out of tennis and has a general dislike for the guy i'm surprised to see you keeping up to date with what he is doing via his facebook account.
