The Masters Cup, now known as the ATP World Tour Finals, is the most prestigious prize in Tennis after the famed Grand Slams. No journeymen in here. You have to earn your spot here through consistent performances in all tournaments throughout the Calander year across all surfaces. And then you're up against 7 of the best players in the world and need to win atleast 4/5 matches to win the Masters Cup. I compiled a list of some of the better known and respected players who've played enough of these tournaments and ranked them by their winning percentages. Two big surprises here. One, Năstase who hasn't had too much success at the Grand Slams be so good against the best in the world in this particular tournament. Two, Nadal, who is supposed to be the giant-killer of the modern-era, having such a bad winratio when he's playing exclusively against the top-8 ranked players in the world.

1. Ilie Năstase : 22-3 (88%)
2. Roger Federer : 39-7 (84.8%)
3. Ivan Lendl : 39-10 (79.6%)
4. Boris Becker : 36-13 (73.5%)
5. Lleyton Hewitt : 13-5 (72.2%)
6. Pete Sampras : 35-14 (71%)
7. Björn Borg : 15-7 (68.2%)
8. John McEnroe : 19-11 (63.3%)
9. Andy Murray : 7-5 (58.3%)
10. Andre Agassi : 22-20 (52.4%)
11. Jimmy Connors : 18-17 (51.4%)
12. Novak Djokovic : 9-9 (50%)
13. Rafael Nadal : 9-10 (47.4%)
14. Andy Roddick : 8-11 (42.1%)

It is all about the surface for Rafa. Can't use this to judge him.

It is, however, interesting to see that Murray and Djokovic have pedestrian records.

I find Hewitt's record more interesting, actually.

I'm guessing he won't respond. Or he'll probably say, "Nadal doesn't care about petty tournaments, it's only about the Slams."

And then cite Barcelona and MC as being far more important events.

Surprised at Djokovic's record considering hes WON the event.

What's more important? Monte Carlo/Barcelona or YEC?

Tonight I will play the role of 130.

This mickey-mouse tournament in its current state means nothing to Rafael "Still-Going-To-Win-RG-in-2018" Nadal. Considering how harmful indoor hard surfaces are on the bodies of professional tennis players, the only logical solution is to move the WTF to a clay court. In Spain. And restrict the field to Spaniards. And, let's be real, my divine opinion is the only one that matters.

Speaking of which, weeks at #1 are meaningless, the Gold Medal is the most important prize in tennis, and 11 > 17. Nadal has already cemented his status as GOAT at the tender age of 27, going on 22 thanks to his brilliant vacation from tennis. Cry *******s, cry.

Thank you.

My school's weekly Tennis tournament beats them all.
