Tomic's level vs. Roddick was pure stinkage at the USO

Young. Impressively, he kept finding ways to lose even when in many winning positions.

There was never, ever a worse display than Gaudio's 0-6, 0-6 tankjob against Federer at the WTF. Granted there was nothing much he could do against Fed anyway but it was depressing and painful to watch. Gaudio made Tonic's effort against Roddick look like a heroic 5 set battle.

How about Nadal vs Del Potro 2009 US Open?

Nadal got his *** handed to him. Was out of his hands. No stinkage there.

Juan Carlos Ferrero had moments in his career when he looked no better than a club player.

Seriously - I have never seen any professional - let alone a Grand Slam winner - look more average than this guy when he's having a bad day.

(I have to admit though - being courtside on a windy Melbourne day at the Oz Open - it's kinda heartening to realise how badly the top pros are also affected by the wind!)

Agreed. Rafa said that even if he hadn't been injured, he still would have lost in straights. Delpo just blew him off the court.

This, however, was a pretty horrendous performance from Fed.

That was pretty awful. Fed looked like Fed for about one game; his opening service game.

Roddick looked pretty bad against Murray at Queen's one year (maybe last year?).

Young, Spadea, Gulbis?

Spadea, since his losing streak is the longest.

I think Roddick's pretty much up there. This year he lost to Denis Istomin, Xavier Malisse, Kevin Anderson all in one month.

Last year I remember him losing three matches in a row: To Pablo Cuevas(#67) in Miami, Flavio Cipolla(#160) in Madrid and Simon in Rome.

I know these results aren't that bad (some of them were on clay, and there's no shame in losing to Anderson or Simon) but they are still very worthy of being called stink-mode, considering he won a grand slam, reached Wimbledon finals consistently and beat Federer this year.
