Does anyone consider the path and motion of the ball in their esthetic judgements of strokes? or is it purely the kinesthetic?

This is in the pro player section because I am asking in reference to pro players' strokes, and whether they are beautiful or not.

both. if we mention greatest strokes we are all posting videos of crazy angles and shot. A shank with a great swing doesn't look gracefull (unless it is federer:)).

many guys are great swingers but few are great hitters.

agreed, both. also, many guys are great hitters, but have unattractive strokes. querrey and monfils come to mind.

I agree with the both post above. Tsonga and Gasquet would be another example. Both great strikers. Tsonga has what it appears to me, short and compact strokes yet generating immense power. While Gasquet has long Beautiful strokes and making equally as great shots as well.

I have seen in some examples, a player who has somewhat odd looking strokes winning me over because the path of the ball is compelling, with the right combination of pace and spin. Has anyone else had this feeling as well?

Federer combines best stroke and ball flight.
