Anyone else find it remarkable that Sampras never reached at least the semifinals for 5 consecutive years at the same Grand Slam?

Of course, Federer achieved this at all four Grand Slams.

Interesting that Nadal, Agassi, and Becker also never achieved this in their careers.

Not surprised for Nadal, too many injuries and silent bans. It's also interesting to see that Federer is going for a 10 consecutive year semifinal streak at the AO in January 2013.

I LOVE that term these days.

I've seen it floated around here forever and it's eerily legit IMO.

To find it remarkable one would need to think Sampras was as dominate as Federer which he isn't so I'm not surprised.

Actually, it is QFs, but still an impressive record.

Sorry, I meant for 40 consecutive QFs at all GS.

Federer is at 34 QF in a row.

Oh, sorry then. I thought he had more. Either way, if he gets just two more, he'll have exactly 9 consecutive years of reaching the QF or better at every Slam.
