View Full Version : rackets similar to pure storm tour?

I would like to experiment more with players rackets by maybe demoing some rackets. I got a pure storm tour with a 21 mm beam, and a leaded up prince with a 24 mm beam (and o-ports). I like the pst more because it lets me feel my shots, whereas the prince is very muted.
Another thing I like about the pst is the beam width and head size are right around where I want them. It gives me very good balance between spin, control and power. I was wondering whether anyone has any suggestions on rackets with similar specifications as the pst. Maybe something with more plow, without much sacrifice in maneuverability.
I will probably be find just going with the PST, but a part of me just wants to explore.

I have demoed over 30 racquets and bought many others and still using the PSTGT.
If you looking for a blend of control, comfort, power, and spin, the PSTGT is the racquet. There are many racquets out there that are better at one thing or another but nothing out there combines all the qualities into a single racquet. It's just a solid racquet that is good at many things, just not great at one or two things and is very underrated on this forum.

The prestige pro is roughly the same, but not really, yet its the only Head that's close so demo it.

I am in the same boat as parasailing. Other racquets in my bag that i think are worth a shot are PK ki 5, IG Rad Pro, 4D 200 Tour, Pro One, Rdis 200 and EZ Xi 98. Prestige Pro is also worth a shot, but stiffer with less power.

thanks for the suggestions. I was actually thinking about the k6.1 95 16x18. What do you guys think about that one?

I used a K6.1 95 16x18 briefly a while ago. Power level was higher, plowthrough was maybe a touch more, sw was higher and therefore I found spin to be less as I could not swing it as fast.
Overall they are fairly much on par, but the K6.1 was definitely stiffer and required more effort to use throughout the course of a match.

Prestige Pro and 6.1 95 are nothing like the PST. Nothing alike at all.
