Big 3 and Year End Ranking in the top 3

If Federer finishes the year ranked in the top 3, it will be his 10 consecutive year finishing in the top 3. This would tie Lendl for the 2nd Longest Streak after Connors (12 consecutive years).

If Nadal somehow finishes the year ranked in the top 3, it will be his 8th consecutive year finishing in the top 3. This would pass Borg and McEnroe.

If Djokovic finishes the year ranked in the top 3, it will be his 6th consecutive year finishing in the top 3. Only McEnroe, Borg, Sampras, Lendl, Federer, and Connors have had longer streaks.

Nadal won't be ranked higher than #4 as he is not playing any tournaments before the AO. Actually I'm not sure about WTF, but pretty sure I read somewhere that he'd be back in January.

Nadal @#3 is not looking to likely at this point.

Of course if he comes back at WTF and does something crazy like win it then he has #3 in the bag.

Djokovic and Federer are pretty much guaranteed to finish as the top two. There is a very small chance for Murray to take #2 but it is nearly impossible. He would have to gain almost 2000 points on Federer in three tournaments. And Federer is a better indoor player anyway.

On the other hand, for Nadal there is no chance to finish in the top 3 as he is not playing.
