Thanks. You just killed the thread in the first post with this unarguably truth.

Actually no you are completely wrong.

That is his car.
He is has a multimillion dollar sponsorship with Kia.
As such they give him free Kia vehicles to drive around.
Product placement is an important part of product advertisement (eg Evian water bottles at ALL ATP/WTA wimbledon 2012 interviews)
Social media sites like Facebook/Twitter are an advertising medium for product placement.
Rafa is doing his part by having product placement in his photos. Here he is caringly washing his Kia, showing appreciation and care for his car.
Desired effect - If a huge star like Rafa likes his Kia it must be a good car, boy o boy i want my next car to maybe be Kia cuz its a good car like Rafa knows it is.
Rafa has been hawking* sponsors services and good in his recovery period (eg pokerstars)

http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/hawk_3
*hawking - to sell goods informally in public places
On every street corner there were traders hawking their wares

Don't worry - Federer hawks his sponsors too.

He actually cannot afford even that Kia. He lost all his money playing online poker. Someone with such severe OCD should not sponsor an online gambling site. He played 36 straight hours and believing he was going to draw Aces over Kings on the next hand. The Aces never arrived and he lost every penny. Now, he is working at the car wash.

Sorry to dissappoint you:

"Whats funny about Federer is that as extraordinary as he is on the court, hes extremely ordinary off it. During his down time, you wont fi nd him partying on Ibiza (an island off Spain). Hell be too busy washing his four cars at his apartment just outside of Basel with his girlfriend, Mirka Vavrinec.

The tour is so hectic, its nice to come home and do something peaceful, he says. Ive won so many cars, and Mirka and I dont want to let them get dirty. So we get out there with the soap and water. I particularly like keeping my white Mercedes nice and clean."
