What player do you think reached the most singles finals without reaching a Grand Slam singles final?

Eddie Dibbs reached 42 finals, but never a grand slam final. This was more finals than Kuerten, Courier, Gomez, Stich, Safin.

Brad Gilbert reached 40 finals yet didn't even reach one Semi at Majors.

Davydenko has 27 finals and interestinglyi enough has the 2nd best winning percentage in finals all time of players who have played a minimum of 10 finals. he is 21-6.

Fast Eddie also played the 1978 WCT title match, which I consider a major in that time or at least was considered well above the AO

It seems to be Kent Carlsson, who reached 17 finals, but never made it to a Grand Slam quarterfinal.

David Ferrer has reached 31 singles finals.

Thanks, it is possible for him to play more finals than Ramirez.

Of active players, probably Dmitry Tursunov, 9 finals without QF GS!
