05-06-2004, 06:46 PM
I thought the finale of Friends was awsome. I have been watching the show since it first started and I have been waiting for Ross and Rachel to get back together. I hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did

THANKS FOR SPOILING IT ****ER!!!!... naw just kidding, the ending was predictable..i didnt even watch it. boring.

In the ten years it ran, I watched a total of perhaps 10 minutes of this show.

Bring back All in the Family, M*A*S*H, Barney Miller, and Police Squad!

Wow deuce. You're an old guy...

It's not being showed in England for a while yet.

Even though i've never seen an episode in my life its on the news and everyone is talking about, I haven't a clue what they're on about

Give me Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights anyday :D

Loved it, very satisfying ending. My daughter would stop by on Thursdays the last 2 years to watch it with me. Could it ever BE better than that?

I thought the ending was great. It ended, so that was great. I actually didn't watch it, but thought I would throw in my useless and worthless opinion.

And yeah, Deuce, I miss M*A*S*H, too.

When I watch MASH or shows like that on reruns now I can't figure out why I ever thought they were funny. The one exception is Wings, a timeless classic....

Bring back Black Adder!

05-07-2004, 01:11 PM
LOL, Black Adder is the bomb!!!

You can't beat a good old British Comedy.

05-07-2004, 01:59 PM
You're definately right Liam.. Brithish comedy is the best. Love AbFab and the re-runs of the re-runs of the re-runs of keeping up appearances

05-07-2004, 02:50 PM
Black Adder is certainly one of the best ever. A little quirky given the morbid endings each of the four series had. AbFab is also tremendous but for my money nothing tops the "televisial feast" that was Fawlty Towers.

I work in television and our NBC affiliate went off the air for almost the whole Friends finale cause someone ran into something on their station, screwing their broadcasting up big time! We loved it, ratings are going on right now and that ruined theirs for the finale.

I'm british and i love my British comedy's but i also love friends!

I don't watch it religiously and just watch for the laughs rather than the soap opera aspect, therefore i sometimes don't realise whats goin on but i'm looking forward to the finale!

The last one i saw was sunday, and Joey went to look at Chandler and Monica's house, and Rachel got the job in Paris!

How far off the end is this???

It's no wonder that so many Americans are obsessed with the finale of the sitcom "Friends" right now. They're the only friends we have, and even they're leaving.

Thomas Friedman in the New York Times...

Television the vast waste land . Friends proved it .

Hell yes, definately my favourite comedy, i like it miles more than the office but all the southerners like that so it wins all the awards!

The only thing that ****ed me off about it was when they had the Shootout between Lancashire and Yorkshire, and they continually took the **** out the Yorkshire boys

05-09-2004, 02:38 AM
Hmmm... A New York without any black people (or other minorities) in it...... What a load of BS!

05-09-2004, 08:07 AM
LOL ProStaffTour90,

The best bit has to be where they have the Japanese night, a laugh a minute imo, or the Asian elders bus. Quality!

I don't think that Americans would get the humour or probably even understand the language, strong dialect.

The quiz night to win the kamakaze lager is fantastic, name that tune, when everyone sings it! and it cuts to Paddy outside getting it totally wrong!

Brilliant, it sounds crap when you try to explain it though!

AND when Maz and Paddy have to kill that Birds fella, with Max's Broomhandle Mouser!

Max: "Hey be careful, my Grandad shot a German with that"

Paddy: "Aw What, int War???"

Max: "No.......in Benidorm.....they had a row over sunbeds!!!"

05-09-2004, 12:02 PM
LMAO that was amazing!

The Broomhandle Mouser was funny, I also think that when they go to France is a top quality part.

I hear the next series starts in September, Spencer is also a quality character where he names the magnificent seven!

And tne first ever episode where they have the band singing "send the Bu@@ers back!"

Top Quality!

05-09-2004, 02:36 PM
There's just two many quality lines to mention, every time you post some i remember some more:

"Brian, pot washer won't work"

"Where is the lazy b@stard"

Oh yeah, when it's singles night and their sayin how song lyrics make really good chat up lines, and then later on Alan goes up to a bird and sez......."I'm Horny.............Horny Horny Horny!"

 quality!

Paddy: "Jesus Jerry, your reek, what ya got on"

Jerry: "Something you can't afford"

Paddy: "What......................Febreze!"

05-09-2004, 02:47 PM
We really ought to stop now.

Your cracking me up!!

Paddy: so how was parents evening?

Max: The teacher got carried away, I slipped my jacket off, scissor kick to the temple, goodnight my friend!

05-09-2004, 07:07 PM
Yeah, let's get back to the subject about how much Friends is a load of whitewashed watered-down second rate humor.

Jennifer Aniston is butt ugly.
