The TW specification for several of these frames (including the 90 and the 95) lists the composition as "Basalt."

I assume this is incorrect and should be Graphite/Karophite + Basalt?

Or have full Basalt and no Carbon fiber frames actually come out????

BLX Technology according to TW:

BL=Basalt. Basalt is a natural volcanic rock. It can be used in manufacturing where it is made into fine gold fibers with incredible vibration resistance.
These new fibers are woven longitudinally with [K]arophite Black to create one of the most advanced composites in the industry.

So I suppose the composition should be [K]arophite Black/Basalt...

I always thought they put strips of it under the grip to decrease vibrations.... and feel.

No. The basalt is in the graphite frame. The handle was supposedly changed so that you can actually feel the ball again (for the large number of critics that said the BLX90 had terrible feel).

The Basalt Crystals can transform a low end 4.0 into a mid range 4.5 with coaching and persistence.
