it looks like there's plastic wrap on the handle. Did you measure the racket weight with that on? Could that be the reason for the weight difference in his rackets now and the one you have?

Just out of curiosity, how come there are main strings broken on either side of the racket??

Is it me, or does the grip somehow look bigger than it does on his "newer" frames?
Maybe he decided to use a slightly smaller one...

That grip is too big to be Federer's imo... maybe the previous owner used the racquet and added some size to it.

It's a 4 3/8 with only one overwrap. It does feel different to the retail ones. It's never been used since the Hewitt match.

An overgrip usually weighs 5 to 6 grams - plastic wrap would add a few grams but 8 seems a bit high.

It's normal for natural gut strings to break when left in a racquet for a long period of time.

I know it said #3 on the buttcap, but I agree with the earlier posters that the grip looks thicker than a typical #3. To me it looks more like a #5 with an overgrip on top.

The spec seems somewhat different from what Fed uses now. RFRF is right and so are other stringers who actually strung/saw Fed's recent rackets. It's just that they are talking about the rackets that have been used by Federer at different times(i.e, they are talking about different rackets, thus they are both right).

Inside, it says 348g (unstrung)
balance point 300 mm (30.0 cm, also unstrung)
stiffness 69
and Swingweight 4 (which I'm guessing is a range or category for them).

So all in all, these are basically the exact specs that Federer has always used, yes? He measured the swingweight himself, which shouldn't be too off with the plastic (it might go up a point or two maybe?), which is in line with the 350s that Federer has been known to use.

The weight also checks out. It's about 2-4 grams higher than his BLX incarnation from what I remember (4-6 grams added to stock 340 grams). Strings add half an ounce on the low end (~14 grams, synthetic guy), and up to maybe 20 grams on the high end (which gut and luxilon hybrids fall under, but I think they add 16-18 grams, I haven't done this stuff in years so I'm not as exact as I used to be with my numbers).

If I recall correctly, balance is measured from the buttcap, and a stock [K]Six.One Tour is balanced at 305 mm from the buttcap unstrung. Again, the numbers check out fairly well.

The stiffness though, is a bit high. It's 2 points higher than a [K]Six.One Tour.

Of course, I could be misinterpreting the meaning of the label in the throat of the racket, but the numbers and letters line up REALLY well with expected numbers and meanings, so excuse me if I'm wrong.
