I recently purchased my first leather grip (Volkl) and I love it. I understand they last a comparatively long time. Any tips on keeping the grip tacky over time? Thanx.

I use a rosin bag once in a great while bang it on the grip . Clean it maybe once in its lifetime with alchol & then apply castor oil ; apply it lightly !! You can put more on but can't take it off once on. For now your set no need to do anything but enjoy the feel of real leather the best!!

When i changed my Pro Overgrip round the other side had taken the colour out of the leather grip, so now my leather grip has been rendered useless and i now have an orange Pro Overgrip!

As mentioned clean it with alcohol and then rub in a few drops of castor oil. If you play without an overgrip I would suggest cleaning every three or four weeks. If you use an overgrip the leather grip will probably never need to be cleaned. All of my leather grips that are under overgrips still look brand new.

Would Rubbing Alcohol work? Also what is the purpose for using castor oil? Does it make it more clean?

castor oil nourishes the leather givess it that new "plush" feel.
