Ok...I've played 4 matches this weekend in a tournament, and I don't know why, but I'm incredibly tight...My last match was a really long one. Anyhow, I have the finals tomorrow, what should I do? I've been stretching and such, but its only helping so much.

Thanks,
moos.

You should stretch not only before the match but after as well. Hold your stretches for counts of 8. Be sure to stretch your groin, hamstrings, back, quads, and triceps, to avoid tightness.

Not sure what area your in, but you can get a professional massage for $30 for 30 minutes in a fairly metropolitan city. When I was playing tons, I used to get a massage after my last match of the day. I found that not only was I looser at night, I slept better and was looser the next day.

Not sure how well you're hydrating, but if I get dehydrated the first day, I'll feel flat for the rest of the day, followed by tightness during sleep and the day after.

Use a foam roller (about $25; 6" thickness) to roll out hams, groin, quads. Here:

I had 6 matches in a tourney this weekend maybe I should have done the same thing because my right calve muscle was sore.
