its always a good idea to have ur backup be the same as the one u use. You can find good deals on used tennis racquets all over the web. I got 2 babolat aeropro controls for $100 each, brand new. T e n n i s 4 a l l. just make sure the seller gets good reviews. you shud be able to get a 300G for around 100 bucks.

Maybe I'm missing something here but I think you can get a 300G for 79.99 new on TW which, conveniently, fits into your 70-80 dollar budget. I agree with having your backup being the same as your primary...makes sense. On the other hand, if your dead set against getting another 300G, the Head i.Rad is also 79.99 and I've heard great things about them.

Actually, you could get a new backup Dunlop 300G for about $70-80 (though without stringing). *********, one of the big golf chains, has gotten back into the tennis business, and is clearing out the 300G for about $70. However, I don't know if they offer it on their website, but I do know they have been carrying it in their stores. You might want to check if they have any stores in your area, and if not, check out their website.

oh, i thought the 300Gs were more expensive. I guess they lowered the prices as clearance due to the new M-Fils that came out. in that case, DEFINITELY get another 300G. it makes no sense to have the 300G in the "70-80 dollar price range" and ending up getting an iradical

********* doesnt have many racquets listed online. you'll have to call you local stores for the dunlop; i had to do same with my slaz. and fyi, their inventory check is horrible, so you'll have to call up each store to verify if it's truly in stock. the one store they told me that carried slaz was out and it was another random store i called that had the last one in stock.

Ok, so between the Warrior and the I rad, everyone thinks the I rad is nicer?

I've played both. To me the iRad is more of a control-oriented player's stick. I found the Warrior to be too powerful, my shots were flying all over.

Get a MaxPly McEnroe. Its a 300G with backbone. More weight plus more stiffness = more guts when facing heavy hitters. You can find it for US$ 80 if you look hard enough.

I liked the 300G better than i.radical due to open string pattern, more feel & pop on the serves although radical has better control.

I am nowing buying the Maxply McEnroe. Will let you know my feedback once I play with it.
