Radical Shot

Throughout the years, I have tried many strings in many combinations of guage and tension. I have finally decided that the best strings are Luxilon ALU Power and Luxilon TiMo 18g. In an attempt to finally settle on a string, I decided to conduct a little experiment.
Yesterday, I had both of my TiRadical MP's strung. One had ALU Power 16L and the other had TiMo 18. Both were strung at 55lbs.
The first racquet I tried was the ALU. Immediately, I loved the feel of it. There is nothing like a restring job with ALU! Heaps of feel, comfort power and the consistent control. Fantastic string. I thought it couldn't get better than this....
Then I picked up the TiMo 18 Radical. Wow! soft, smooth, topspin to burn, power and control also. I was in trouble.
I switched back and forth and back and forth and really could not decide which is better. I think it came down to the serves. The ALU blasted first serves, the TiMo really kicked the second.
I'm sure that if I didn't know which racquet I was using, I don't think I could have discerned the difference. To me it seems that these two strings play the same. It's an interesting equation to note that a 18 strung the same tension as a 16, evens out the feel.
I think I am leaning toward the ALU, mainly because I know it will last a little longer.....
