View Full Version : Flat Serve 1 O'Clock

I often heard that toss to 1 o'clock for flat serve and 11 for kick, but I'm not sure I understand it. Where exactly is 1 o'clock position. Does that mean the clock face the back fence, or face my right (perpendicular to the net)?

The clock would be centered around your body, facing the net.
Meaning 1'o'clock would be straight in front of you and slightly to the right.

Thanks for your help. Would you please post the link?
All Court, I'm still confused. I'm righty. If clock face the net, will 1 o'clock be on my left and 11 o'clock on my right?

Forget the clock. To hit a FLAT serve, toss the ball so that it's almost directly above, but slightly in front, of the shoulder of your hitting arm. To hit a kick serve toss the ball so it's almost directly above, but slightly behind, the shoulder of your tossing arm.
