Is TW still trying to get this or is it and Titan the same thing?
Also im thinking of trying either Titan Gut or Grand Slam gut in a hybrid. Which would you say is better?

In the end, Klip Contender didn't happen.
We no longer stock Grand Slam Gut, but do stock Titan. GSG is very lively with a soft feel. Titan is crisper, offers more control and some nice ball pocketing.

Chris do you have any experience using Titan gut?

I have some in my racquet right now. I've been hitting with it for three weeks and so far so good. Offers some nice ball pocketing and a crisp feel. It offers plenty of pop, too. I'm currently using the 16 gauge version. The gut was pre-stretched and strung in a Yonex Nano Speed 7 MP at 58lbs. I like this racquet and have been keeping one around as my test mule for new strings.

Thanks for the reply Chris. Is TW going to review the Nano Speed 7?

Not sure at this time, but it's a possibility.

One last question Chris. I was reading the article that TW did about natural gut and read about the part where it said that putting wax on the string.
Do you do this to your natural gut and should it be put on after each use or just the once after it gets strung?
Thanks for all your help

Can you please answer Chris.

Hewitt rulez... if you do a search in the Strings section of the TT boards for natural gut and wax I am sure you will get the answer to your gut questions.

I apply wax to the mains before pulling the crosses to avoid any friction burns during installation. Some players apply the Babolat ThermoGut coating once the initial coating on the gut wears off. If you play where there’s a lot of humidity or moisture, you should consider treating your gut when needed. However, I prefer the feel of the gut once the coating has worn off a bit and the string gets a little texture.
Babolat ThermoGut Coating $7.00
