Ditto on the Klippermate being the first. Funny but I find myself wondering if maybe I might ought to get another one just to take to out of town USTA events and tournaments.

German machine called a Threelastic...had a single clamp that moved along a square shaped glide bar that surrounded the racket face. Had to use a starting clamp that screwed down to hold the string. Wrapped the string around a rubberband covered tensioner with the all famous drop weight. Can you say slow? Try stringing nat gut in a T2000 on one of those!!! Ah, the good old days!

Tremont Research 'T.R. Stringer'. Don't remind me.

They didn't do quite enough research on it before putting it on the market.

It's the only machine that I've ever used so don't really have anything to compare it to.

I thought it was pretty easy to use and produced great results.
