i am a 14 yr old boy-is it worth doing a bit of weightlifting 2 or 3 times a week to improve my tennis and what exercises are best to do?

It will help you. Don't overdo it. You should get lots of input on this. I'm just a firm believer that weight or resistance training is good for everything.

however, being 14, you should not lift heavy weights, it might impede growing ...
