1. is stringing polys higher than normal to compensate for the initial tension loss a good idea? or will it just lose more tension because the tension is higher?

2. i read somewhere here about how stringing polys looser in small head size and tight pattern racquet is better than stringer it higher. is this true?

i'm talking about volkl VE tour10 mid by the way...

1. Depends on the string. You normally shouldn't string polys higher though. They're extremely stiff.

2. It's a preference thing, but it's true for the most part.

If you string most polys tigher to compensate for the higher initial tension loss the resulting stringbed will be very stiff, especially on a frame with a smaller head and/or dense string pattern. I recommend stringing polys 5-10% below your normal tension.
