View Full Version : Volkl Tour 10...Juicing the Serve!

I'm considering using Luxilon Big Banger TiMO or ALU strung @ 52 to beef up this racquet's serving capabilites.

Any sugestions from other Tour 10 users? I may also drop about .25-.50 oz in the handle to get it more headlight...

Cutting off the handle would make it head heavy...

Clarification...this is the MP version, and I was referring to adding weights in the handle...sorry for the confusion.

give it a try. that will make your frame more headlight and more headlight frames serve better IMO. my serve went downhill when i switched to the t10mp also..i stuck with her tho and worked on my serve, and now i think i am serving quite well and with a better motion. the key to serving well with this frame to me is to stay smooth and rythmic (sp?) and to not force the power. ed

Might try a Zyex based string. Really adds some pop to my rackets.

Better yet, try some natural gut.

NoBadMojo, what you said is crucial when serving, no matter what racquet you are using. :)

tomek many racquets are more forgiving when serving w. a quick or jerky motion than the t10mp. i have found the t10mp to be very unforgiving if you get quick w. it or use your arm too much in comparison to your lower body. ed
