3/4" lead tape on racquet frame?

anyone try using this?


I saw on the site in the learning part about removing the grommets and placing the tape over it, and poking holes to put the grommets back in?


Anyone done this before? Has a bit of a "cleaner" look on the racquet, from looking at the picture. I'm also guessing that each inch weighs .75 grams? lol


Also, is there anywhere else to buy 3/4" lead tape? 60 bucks for a roll is pretty steep! :shock:

You don't need to remove the grommets. All you need is a regular hole-puncher (1/4" diameter). You will just need to know precisely where to punch the holes. 3/4" wide? Remember that is 19.05 cm. To get a really accurate measurement of g per in., all you need to do is subtract the area of a circle from the total area. I think another reason this is a good idea is that it spreads the mass over a larger area and doesn't clump it in one place, making the hitting area a bit more consistent, all things considered.
