don't know if they changed in 2005 or if this is new for 2006 but can has "official ball of the Australian Open" and has the Aussie Open logo.

was just wondering if anyone has hit with them and what the durability is like. I hated the Wilson US Open balls so hopefully these are better.

Wilson is now the official ball for the Australian Open beginning with the 2006 event. Not sure if they'll be using it during the Hopman Cup or Sydney International though.

You'll most likely see the Wilson logo on a lot of other Aus Open merchandise similar to the stuff they put out for the US Open. Actually, the entire Wilson US Open range of racquet bags has been repackaged for sale here in Australia with a different colour and the Aus Open logo.

Haven't had a chance to use the Wilson balls yet but Ive been told they're not as tight as the Dunlops so not as long lasting.

Don't waste your time with wilson balls they aren't very durable and are horrible to play with. Get slazenger hydroguard ultra vis, they are water resistant and they dont fuzz up for ages and are durable. And i've heard good things about Tretorn Micro X.

the wilson AO balls, they have a very nice feel and bounce, but last about ....2 hours of play. just like La Bomba says, slazenger hydroguard ultra vis is the best ever. I've played with dunlop, slazenger, wilson, penn, and even some wierd tiger ones. So far, nothing even comes close to slazenger in terms of feel and durability.

2 hours = 1 match for me so if they are consistent enough for 2 hours then ok. I can still get 1 match and 1 hour of hitting (3 total hours) out of a set of Dunlop Grand Prix balls so I'll stick with them in the future.
