Is there any other feeling like it? You execute all your strokes perfectly, make up some of your own, and have a mind as stable as Federer's. I was "in the zone" only during a hitting session last night, but it was a worthwhile, satisfying feeling nonetheless. Pls share your experiences of being "in the zone".

BTW, Now imagine how it would feel if your opponent still dominated you while you were in the zone. :-P

i actually like it and dislike it at the same time. i love it because i play w/ people that are all better than i am, so when im feeling it, i can pretty much do w/e i want and create shots for myself w/o even knowing it...but sometimes it makes me mad the next day when i cant do crap and i cant remember how i hit the ball so efficiently the day before (im not the most mentally stable person when it comes to tennis)

Sorry, couldn't resist....

But yeah, being 'in the zone' is a great feeling. I actually experienced it just this past Friday, playing doubles. I was cracking serves and picking up half-volleys off my shoelaces for winners all over the place, felt great.

It's a good boost of confidence every now and then, lets you know how good you really can play.
