I've heard of the RD series, but not the R series. If you have, could you tell me the specs (flex, swingweight, weight, etc.) and what kind of a racquet is it (player's, tweener)? Thanks...

I do not know the details of the R-27, but I think it is the same mold as Martina's R-22 and it is made out of boron and graphite.

Martina used it briefly . Aaron Krickstein , Jaime Yzaga , Tim Wilkinson & Mal Anderson used it . I demoed it along with the 22 TW has for sale . I liked teh r-22 better more flex.

the R-27 is a stiff flex frame, made from Boron and Graphite, was used by Krickstein very briefly but it gave him arms problems. Martina never used it nor did Yzaga, they both played the R-22.
The R-27 is a nice frame but tough to play with because it doesn't give much on contact.

Saw Yzaga play David Pate @ the Pilot Pen Classic in Palm Springs ,CA the final in 85 he did use the R-27 Martina used during the the French Champ. in 1984 dumped it soon after for the R-22 .
