Imo, putting strings back into position makes them break faster.

for me, it's not the problem of breaking them. if you fix your strings to their normal position, you get a more predictable stringbed.

So if the fresh string is distorted by a topspin fore hand, not returned and the you hit nearly the same location for your next topspin forehand that put sthe string under less stress than realigning the string bed ?

If that is so, is the benifit of string savers negated by their tendency to restrict string displacement?:confused:
