I think I would be happiest with a grip size of 4 9/16". I believe Edberg and Courier also preferred something like this. I see the average grip size between 4 1/8 and 4 5/8 is 4 3/8, but most players I know play with 4 1/2, and this will only be moreso in the coming years of bigger players. Do you think that manufacturers should start marketing a 4 9/16"? I see Wilson meeting this shift toward larger grip sizes again by having the new ncode 6.1 available in 4 3/4" (and the HPS 6.1), but it would help even a little more by having a 4 9/16". There is just something about it where all the bevels fit perfectly within my clenched hand.

If you take a 4 1/2 and use an overgrip, it'll be a 4 9/16. If you use a leather grip, it won't be very cushiony. There are also those heat shrink grips you can use to build up the grip size.

Right on, but I meant grip size before putting on my TournaGrip. Now, a 4 5/8 with added TournaGrip feels a bit large, and 4 1/2 with the same overgrip feels a bit small. I've been playing with 4 5/8 for years now, and it only feels OK for me if there is no overgrip. That's another reason why I'm interested in Babolat leather grips. They sound a little thinner than most (1.60mm versus 1.80mm of Fairway?). For anyone interested in closer to an in-between size, you can look into these?

You could also try Luvox.

The half-size heat shrink over a 1/2 should do the trick...minimal bevel loss and correct size.
