How many tournaments are you going to play this year?

I have decided I am going to play a bunch more than last year- maybe 8-10

2 for sure and probably one or two more if I can get a cute mixed doubles partner.

I usually try to play about 6 or so and try to schedule atleast one competitve 3set match each week

I played 13 tournaments last year, and hope to do at least that amount or more this year. It all depends on whether I can stay healthy, but tournaments are what I play tennis for.

I haven't played competitively since 2000, my junior year of college. I'm in the process of getting into shape so I can play some Open tournaments by June. I know I can hang with a guy ranked around 100, but I want to be able to hang with the guys ranked from 30 to 70 also. As for the top 30, I've seen the guy ranked 28th, he plays at my park, and right now he would rock my world. But if I practiced 3 or 4 times a week and got into shape, I could probably play him 3 and 3. The top 10 guys, I'll never stand a chance. So Cal is ridiculous.

This is the year I play in a tournament for the first time! I'm very excited about doing so. I've been playing six days a week for the past seven months (after playing more casually my whole life), and I'm eager to see where I fit in.

Problem is there's plenty of country tournys in the bush but there's not many metro tournaments except for juniors.

I'll probably enter some A, B doubles grade events.
I might even try open singles grade, maybe i'll play someone semi famous locally. ;)
