What does string (16g Syn. Gut) add to swingweight? If swing weight is 306 before stringing, what's the swing weight after stringing? Thanks.

Strings weigh about 15g. If you assume that this weight is evenly distributed across the hoop, you could come pretty close on the additional swingweight by using the mid point of the hoop as the location of the weight in the formula;

I=(MxD^2)/1000

where M equals the added weight in grams and D is the distance in cm's between the 10cm point from the butt end of the frame to the mid point of the hoop. Take a look at www.racquetresearch.com if you want to delve into this further.

Assuming a mid-point of 54 centimeters up from the butt cap, the new swingweight would be 335 kg x cm2.

The midpont on a standard racket is 51 cm which means that the swingweight is around 331 or am i overlooking something.
