I use BDE Preformance...If money wasn't a concern, I would go with VS...But it is so I save a few bucks and use BDE Preformance. I have heard many positive comments about Klip Legend, have not tried it yet.

I saw that BDE gut comes in a new package and it looks like it's not sealed in an airtight bag anymore.

Does anyone know?

My favorite gut is BDE Performance. It plays great. I have tried VS, and some people might think it's strange, but I think BDE plays better for me.

I'm really impressed with the Klip Legend ArmourPro. It does a bit more of everything compared to every other gut. it's not as traditional feeling, but feels great and man does it hold tension, easy to strng, strings lock, deep in the pocket, durable, spin, power...everything.

I love the way BDE Performance plays, but it's one negative is that it's hard to get through blocked holes. It just unravels too easily, so you cannot force it through a small opening.

The last set of Klip Legend I strung was much different than the first few (while stringing). This new stuff felt really good, and it's what I have in my racket now (hybrided with Alpha Prodigy in the crosses).

And can no one answer my question about BDE(post #3)?

I strung up some BDE Performance last night and it does fray easily.

Pacific guts should also have been included in the poll.

I haven't tried ArmourPro yet. I also like the Bow Brand gut. I have some 18 ga in one of my racquets. Nice stuff, though it moves at low tensions.

Well, I am not sure about the situation in USA. But I emailed Pacific and got the distributors in UK. Apparently, p w p.com has some stock but at ridiculous price. Google for pacific. You shall get some info.

I have attached a pacific web page below. Hope it helps.

Bab VS is expensive, but if you can afford it, it's the best and most consistent in terms of quality, I've found.

I just strung up a stick with this. I noticed that the bag wasn't air tight either. It didn't matter in this case because the gut was still meaty, but I would be concerened in the future if this string will dry out during shelf life.

Vs team is the best...but not by much. I usually go with BDE performance.

I've tried them all and for me Bow brand is the best quality and lonest lasting gut around. I just wish it wasn't as expensive as the others. It was the best price around for gut. I hope it comes back down in price.

DavidThanks for the info, David. I buy my strings well in advance so I guess BDE won't be an option for me anymore. That's a shame. What are they thinking?

Used Pacific for years way back when. It went away so I went with VS Pure Control 17g. Had to use Tonic+ once and liked it so I stayed with it. Doesn't break as often and I save about 150 bucks a year on string.
