View Full Version : Textured strings

Are there any textured strings that keep their texture for any real length of time? I used to use Prince Topspin and now I have Babolat Razor Spin, but they both lose their texture after a couple hours of playing and then they are pretty much like any standard synthetic gut. I want a string that is textured, or otherwise good for spin, that will retain its spin-imparting capabilities for a longer time, and hopefully reasonably priced too. For those of you who use Topspin, which do you use? guage? duraflex?

There's almost no texture to any of these strings. The most textured strings are Gamma (tnt2) Ruff, and the Lux Roughs

I say there should be a law that everyone that strings should have to do at leas one 18X20 frame with Gamma Ruff 16.
It's sorta' like walking on broken glass barefooted.

On the other side of the coin . . . Bab Razor Spin is the easiest string to put in, ive found. It is very limp.
