I just found this on the web... I'm not sure if any of you saw it, but I thought it was interesting to see Safin hit a one-hander. Sorry if it's something that was discussed

Looks like he has very good form in the One handed. So much talk about what Federer would be like with a 2 handed, how would Safin measured up with a one handed? With those lenghty arms he problably able to generate a lot of pace...

Who was he playing? Was it a qualifier who had no chance to get a set off of him so he decided to do some experimenting to keep the match interesting?

Huh, this is a very interesting find, Dig. Why the heck would he try and hit a one hander? Was it a warm up or exhibition?

Sometimes players will hit a one hander. I've seen Bjorkman, Serena and Martina Higgins all try one handers when they had to.

You would expect to see pro's with good technique on all shots, even if they don't play normally with them. Strange to see him practice it in what looks like a match situation though.

Supposedly, it was at Wimbledon (I don't know what year) against this guy (I don't recognize him):

Also, you can see the Rog doing a warm-up here, and he hits a two-hander at the very beginning of the video:

I don't mean to cause trouble but that does not look like a PC600 mold, it looks to wide for that, the PC600 is actually a narow racket.

If I look at my PC600 from that angle, it looks the same.
Trouble maker!

Yes it was Tursunov and was at Wimbledon in 2004, where Tursunov beat him in possibly the first round? and Safin said he would never come back to Wimbledon :)
