Hey guys, I need some advice on selecting a new racket. I am a baseliner who hits heavy topspin. I right now play the Volkl Tour 9 V-engine 16X19 which is a little to light and a little to powerful. The season is also almost hear (3 weeks). Some of my options are 1) Keep my racket until season is over. Which i really want to change my racket. 2) My second option is to put lead tape on my racket. If you think this is a good idea tell me where to put it please. 3) My final option is to get something new. I was kind of thinking of sticking with Volkl rackets. I was thinking of trying the tour 10 V-engine and the C10 pro which is a great racket i hear. If i was to try another brand: I also think the Wilson Rok might be good also. Are any of these rackets great for topspin? I guess what I am looking for is a controlled racket with a great sweetspot, touch and feel, and great topspin. I also have a problem, the racket shop close to me doesn't have demos of the Rok or C10 pro. Also if you could reccomend any other rackets that suit my playing style, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!!!

9 V-E has pretty nice parameters

Strung Weight: 11.5oz / 326g
Balance: 5pts Head Light
Swingweight: 308
Stiffness: 64

perhaps you should get to a coach to look at your topspin production, if the balls are long with such a racquet

you might want to add some lead tape at 3 and 9, plus under the handle or in that triangle in the neck, to keep about the same balance, which looks good to me. go in increments of 5g, and check the results.

but I'd be looking at demo-ing a 10 V-Engine Mid/MP

adding lead may make your frame MORE powerful. don't put any on the head.
rok & tour 10 ve won't give you monster spin like the c10, and CAN'T come near the c10 in terms of touch & feel. if you can generate your own power, the c10 is amazing. does everything well. it's one of the most arm friendly frames too and works with varying tensions.

Hey Luke,
If I was going to suggest a racquet for your game it would be the prince O3 tour 95"...This racquet lets you generate great spin and power. The 95" square inches is absolutly GREAT!!!! Give it a try...but they dont have it at the club yet...So go down to ******* and demo it...The worst that could happen is that you dont like it and you will take it back...But by watching you play last Sunday this racquet will be great for you....By the way keep playing you are really improving!!!! See you in 4th period...
