Why is "mid plus" written in red on some racquets and black on others? Are there any differences?

Cosmetic coding. Likely there is a difference between the two. Some manufacturers do that so they can always tell which iteration of the frame is which. Maybe they tweaked the layup, found a more efficient way to make it, etc, or maybe they just did it to be able to date the frame. I always suggest people get their frames with identically the same cosmetics and if you use multiple frames, doesnt hurt to buy them at the same time and have TW match the frames for you...some manufacturers like Volkl and Fischer do have much tighter tolerances than the others and you are more likley to get frames which swing alike randomly (unless they tweaked the frame during the life cycle). Another trick is to see if the retailer will record the specs of the frame you buy, then if you need more, you can always ask them to send you what matches what you already have
