used to play with aero prodrive with poly hybrid. just recently switched to yonex rq7 with the same poly hybrid set up, and noe tennis elbow problems.. is it because of switching to flexible frame? or the poly / n gut hybrid in flexible frame?

soory wrong typing .instead of "noe" should be "having"

Usually softer racquets are easier on the tennis elbow...

both stiff racquets (apd, pd) and harsh strings (polys) can cause huge problems
I'd say avoid polys, use multis
RQ7 seems fine

check the advice given here which, contrary to the thread title, relates to the apd's a lot:

I was afraid of Polys - due mainly to the deliberate fear some instill on this board - until I tried them. First, a Poly hybrid. No problem. Then a full Poly job. No problem for going on 3 years now. The Poly is Polylon. Generally strung in the low 50s. The frames vary - but they're all relatively heavy, flexible frames. One is 80 sq. in. The full Poly actually feels quite soft to me.
