On my high school tennis team I practice with a lot 'funk' players and I'm a normal topspin BH FH player and I know I'm better then everyone on my team. However, lately I haven't been hitting very well. I've noticed that the last two years during the 'offseason' summertime, I could make some incredible shots and could stay consistent with pretty smooth FH and BH placement, and I could hit right through these junk hits while I practiced with good clean hitting players. And now I can't seem to stay smooth or consistent. Do I need to not practice so much with 'funk' hitters and do I need to hit someone who hits 'truer' like me?

You need to hit with both. You need variety on your practice. Hit with an S&Ver, hit with a baseliner, hit with a junkballer, hit with a pusher.

That way, u won't be surprised off-guard on a real match, since you have "been there, done that" with everything ;)

First recognize that “junk” is a legitimate and legal tennis stroke. Secondly recognize that it is a big challenge because it is non-standard and you are not familiar with it. Thirdly, keep your feet moving and keep you eyes on the ball because you are not familiar with the hitting style or stroke..
