I current have the Tour 90 and I'm wondering if the 6.0 85 is better or worse in some ways.

I just received the 6.0 85! WOW! The 8pts HL really made a difference. I really don't regret playing the 90 because it strengthened every part of my arm and my timing.

So what the heck am I going to string it at? The 90 was 57lb with Xcel 17 and it gave me too much spin. 60lb? Hybrid with gut? Ahhh so many choices... The most important is arm friendliness. Thanks in advance guys!

This one?

Gosen OG Micro 16 Natural 12 Pack String

That's a good price since I'm getting my first stringing machine next week. Any others for all court play? What do you think about hybrids?

Do you break stings? If you don't you will get the best feel from the natural gut or the higher line synthetics. If you are used to using a certain string on your current raquet try that first. Switching string can be as traumatic as switching racquets. May really throw you game off.

i actually liked the tour 90 better than the 6.0 85. tour 90 gave me a little more pop on serves and groundies.

PS 85 by a longshot! Tour 90 is way too clumsy when taking quit cuts at the ball. Nothing cuts through the air like the PS 85. The maneuverability of this stick is unmatched even though a heavier frame.

I'm sorry.... PS 85 way over Tour90. More feel, more grace, more pace.

I agree the Tour90 has more power on both - but with little effort. I made the mistake of string mine at 54lb and then adding 25g of lead tape to it - turned the racquet into a monster on both of those shots, but one I couldn't control.
However, I still prefer the 6.0 85 just for the way it cuts through the air. It doesn't feel 'clunky' in any way.

i don't know how you guys get decent power with the 6.0 85. even with gut at lower tensions i felt like i wasn't getting any put away power. could judt be me but i am a 5.0 so i'm not a beginner by any stretch (although some days I do play like one :) )

I hear that a lot too.
I modestly consider myself a 4.0 but I dunno - maybe it helps that I'm 6'3" and 200lb or so? My serving action owes a lot to the way I use my legs, torso and shoulders now - when I first started using the Prostaff at 355g my serves were easy to return and my 2nd serve was nothing. Now with added weight, I get a load more power on that 1st serve (still have to work extra-hard to get a decent kick-topspin 2nd).
Mine is strung at 62lb with NXT17 and leaded-up to 384g, but I still don't get the power/speed I have with something like the Pure Drive+...however, the control+power combination of the Prostaff are just superb.

I bought both the PS 85 and 90 together as a set. Then the following week, I bought another one of each b.c I liked them both. Like what others have said, the PS Tour 90 is nice b.c it gives the added pop (pace) but feels clumsy. The the PS 85, on the other hand, is graceful and just has this allure about it that makes it a unique stick.

Anyway, I have one PS 85 strung at 54 lbs with some cheap 16 gauge stuff, and I hate it with a passion. Then I strung (my first racquet ever) the other one with some 16g Babalot at 60 lbs and it hits pretty well, but I am leaning towards trying something at 58 lbs with Micro Gosen OG 17g.
