Can somebody please explain how a 18x20 vs a 16X19 would play differently assumng it is the same model. Does the denser pattern give you better feel and mpre spin?

i think the 16x 19 gives you more spin.

16x19 gives more spin, more power. 18x20 gives less power, more control. this is based on my experience since i have both kinds of racquets.

14 main patterns give you the most spin...but there's not that many 14 main pattern rackets out there

str33t is right. But I'm surprised that the 18x20 Volkl Tour10 VEngine Mid that I have gives me more spin than my 16x19 Volkl C10 Pro. It could be that this is a control-oriented frame with a 17mm beam width and I'm able to get wicked topspin and slices with the T10VE mid.

Differs from racquet to racquet, so just get what you like. Spin will come, so dont worry.

I get more spin from my ncode 6.1 18 x 20 than I did from the 16 x 18 pattern
and more spin than I did from my 03 tour. I had to adjust my swing a little bit, but the string bed is more solid and the balls come off very consistantly..

I would add that the more open string pattern will result in more frequent string breakages.
