View Full Version : Hi Tech vs. Hydrocontrol

Hey, I'm wondering howe Gamma Hi Tech compares to Head Hydrocontrol?
I haven't tried Gamma Hi Tech, but I did try the Hi Tech contour and I didn't care for it much. If they are the same except for the ridge, I would say stay away. I did try a Head grip, I can't remember if it was the Hydrocontrol, but I think it was. ANyway the one I tried wore out quite fast. I have since switched to leather with an overgrip, and it works well for me. I expect the leather to last a long time, and I am using the Yonex Super Grap, which lasts a long time also. I bought a thirty pack, so I doubt I'll need any more grip until middle of next year. :-)

I always use overgrips over my replacement grips...any other thoughts though?

Not familiar with the Head grip, but the Gamma HiTec is a great grip. Provides some cushion, but provides the firmest feel I have found in a synthetic grip. It allows good feel on the racquet and retains its shape well. I have tried a lot of other grips but keep coming back to the HiTec. It is as close to leather as you will find in a synthetic with a little cushion for comfort.
