View Full Version : Babolat Razor Spin or Super Fine Play

As you can see, I currently play with Razor Spin 16 in the crosses with Polymono 17 mains, but I have been considering trying Super Fine Play 17 in the crosses. The SFP is cheaper and thinner. I am thinking the the cheaper will help with my pocket book and the thinner will make up for the spin lost with a non-textured string. Also, a thinner string will keep being good for spin, while a textured string will lose its texture an be done. So will SFP be as good, if not better, for me? Any comments on SFP?

Razor spin is the easiest string to cross with !!!
What can the extra friction hurt ?

you're talking about 2 completely different strings though.
Razor spin is a poly, and SFP is your standard run-of-the-mill nylon/syn. gut.
Using SFP will most likely soften up your string bed and add a little pop, but the durability will go down.

Razor Spin isn't a poly. It is a slightly textured syn gut (not sure mono or multi). It softened up my stringbed already.
