To me, grip size 4 1/4 of Volkl feels bigger that 4 1/4 of Wilson.
Have you found that same grip size feels different from one brand to another?

What do you think of Head grip sizes? Where do they stand?

Just different grip shapes feel different in the hands of different people. There is no hard and fast rule to it, but the nuances of shape can be extremely personal and very much skew your perception of what is "felt" in the hand.

I find that HEAD is smaller than Wilson also. Perhaps HEAD and Volkl are similar(size+shape?) because their origins are close?
I prefer 4 5/8 in HEAD but 4 1/2 in the Willy.

I too have noticed the head grip size being a bit smaller than the wilson. the head grip already feels a bit small and rectangular. My normal grip size is 4 1/2 with wilson....if i were to to go up one with the head grip, would it not feel as awkward?

My Wilson PS 6.0 95 with a 4 1/2 grip feels much bigger than my old 4 1/2 head raquets. Does anyone know how a Dunlop M-fil 300 or Maxply compare, I'm thinking of getting one.

To me, Dunlop sizes feel same as Wilson.

Dunlop and Wilson are my favorites....need no modifying!

Head grip is definetely smaller than Wilson. I was quite suprised after the switch. If I had known this, I would have ordered 45/8 Head instead 41/2. Wilson 45/8 is too big for me. Now i have to use two thick (0.7mm) overgrips.

I can vouch that Head are small. And that Yonex are similar to Wilson.

My Head grip size 4 (4 1/2) LM Rad MP is when I compared them last night EXACTLY the same as my new Yonex RDS003 grip size 3 (4 and 3 eigths).

And the Yonex is EXACTLY the same as the Wilsons I just demoed (all demos are grip size 3).

I also find Head grips run about a size smaller than most other rackets I've had including Yonex, Wilson, Dunlop, Volkl and even Spaulding.

how is yonex in this respect?

yonex is slightly more rectangular than wilson, but not really noticeable.
