Has anyone every brusied thier palm playing tennis?

I've never had this problem before, but after playing at last week's tennis party, I noticed that heel of my palm felt sore.

I just wonder if its a bit of an overuse injury. I haven't played regularly for the past two years, however, over the past two months I"ve started playing 3 or 4 times a week. In the case of the tennis party, I may play about 3 or 4 sets over the course of 5 hours.

Also, I just picked up a new racket. I think it's a bit stiffer than my last racket and has a more dense string pattern. I really like the way it plays and so far it doesn't feel too harsh on my arm.

Are you sure you are master of your domain?
Jokes aside, do you use an overgrip? the bottom of the palm is usually not an injury prone part of the body, unless you are refering to the top of your wrist.

I am the king of the castle!!! ;)

Yes, I use an overgrip. Infact, the pro at the tennis shop I use builds out my grip to fit my hand since I accidentally bought a racket with a grip that was too small.

I guess it could be the top of my wrist.

Think of it like this, when you put your palm flat to do a push up, the heel of your palm which bears most of the weight is sore. Mostly on the fleshy side at the bottom on the same side of the had as you pinky. Could be my wrist. Noticed the back of my wrist has also been a little sore too.

Took my racket to get restrung the other day and they guys at the shop found a crack in the frame hidden behind the bumper guard.

I didn't notice the crack, but did notice some weird vibration on some off-center shots. I wonder if that also increased my chances of wrist/hand pain?
