I was sent a sample of the crossfire monogut strings for filling out that survey that a very generous person posted on here, i love the strings but i cannot find them, ashaway does not have an online store but i got in contact with them and they said that to order directly from them i had to order a minimum of 20 sets of string, and i dont need that many. If anyone could help me i would appreciated it.

I think I'd buy a set of Ashaway Monogut (3.99) and Ashaway Synth (3.79) and make your own.

Glad you liked them.

How long did it take for you to get your sample? I've filled out the form like 3-4 weeks ago and I still haven't gotten it. Can you think of any reason as to why it is taking so long?

Thanks

I am also waiting for my monogut crossfire. What does it play like? How is it on the arm?

I filled out the form and got a call from the Ashaway distributor here in the UK. They asked me a few more q's (how long have I played, who strings my rqts, whose else's do I string). Received a great package with a set or monogut, liberty and dynamite WB plus the usual price list. Once I tried the sets I've to call them back and gonna sort out a deal for me and set up an account.

I've tried the monogut. It's like a poly(luxilon is the closest). Strings like a poly, but feels and plays better. Def more powerful.

i just put a monogut 17 and tournafibre syngut ($32/660 ft reel) in a friend's HM200g @ 55/65. He loved it right off the bat - and played for nine hours the first day. his shots were noticably more penatrating. No signs of wear yet. I am going to try a similar setup in my cat 7 upon my next breakage.
