View Full Version : Racquet bag and Dampener . . .

I'm checking out larger racquet bags, and the Adidas Tour Bag 6-Pack (found at http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpageBGADIDAS-AJK.html) seems to be TW's bestseller. Anyone else use this? I'm wondering whether it really is that good of a bag. Also, babolat's Racquet Vibration System Dampener (found at http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpageACBAB-BRVSD.html) looks promising. I use a semi light racquet (10.5 ounces) and I heard it helps the lighter racquets deal with the harder hits. But then again i always hear that this dampener dampens too much. Anyone know? Thanks, input greatly appreciated.

I cant comment on the bad but I can on the Dampner. I dont like it for two reasons. One, it looks out of place when mounted on a racquet. Two, you heard right. It dampens a bit too much. The racquet makes a nice powerful sound though that you might like. And in my opinion, dampners dont do much in dealing with heavy balls. I think its the weight of the racquet that helps the most

Go with a rubber band. If you search on the boards, you'll find how to tie it properly too.
