Hi!
I'm 29 and starting to play tennis, and I experience mild discomfort/soreness/aches in my arm a day or two after playing. Is this normal? Does it get milder/shorter with more training/experience?
(In a way it's very much like the aching legs I get the next day after playing futbol... I think it's normal, but, since wrist health is very much crucial to my job, I can't be too careful)

you might have bad technique (talk to a coach), a stiff and/or light racquet and harsh strings (use multifilaments)

Oh yeah, I started with that one :)
You have no idea how hard is to find a beginner racquet here in Chile within my budget constraints that weighs more than 290 gr! Right now I play with a borrowed aluminium racquet from a friend.
I'm looking at a certain "Wilson Impact ST", which is a titanium-alloy, 340gr, 110 sq inch, 27.5" long racquet (according to the ad in the stores). The main catch is that google does not know about that particular model, except for a couple of websites in Argentina from stores that carry it, so I have no way to know it's stiffness rating, or balance (though I could simply try to balance it and see how it falls)
Thank you.

Bad technique? Oh, that's a given: I've played about twice now - just hitting balls, I don't have the level to play a whole match without bageling myself via doublefaults ;). After some quick research, I found out the borrowed racquet I use has a 4 3/8 grip, and I should be using a 4 1/2 one due to the size of my hands. And the strings, well, they are strings - neither me or the racquet owner know what they are.
