Ankle Brace

Has anyone tried the Mueller wraparound ankle support? I must have slightly sprained my ankle the other day because the last two days when I point my toes out I feel a pain shoot through my ankle. I do not want to spend $35 for the ASO brace. I was in my local CVS and saw this Mueller brace for $9.99 and decided to give it a try. Any feedback would be great.

Why go cheap on your health? Either you don't play for some time and RICE. Or buck up and buy the Swede - 0 - Eight ankle style. I wear one on both anlkes for the last 4 yrs. One ankle gave out the other is preventive. The only way I'd ever wear a Muller is if I forgot mine on vaction and it's the only one available @ the resort. Ankles and wrists take the longest to heal!!!

I agree with everyone, ankles suck if not healed properly, I took a week more then the doctor said to get back and I still have ankle pain moving my foot inward.

I had a horrible ankle sprain almost a year ago... I was on crutches for a month, and then had another month off before I could jog again. At this point, I started to play tennis with an ASO brace wrapping my right ankle very tightly. I was slow and couldn't move well, but I DID NOT force anything. The pro was that I was strengthening my ankle again, the con was that it may have also slowed the healing process because I play insane amounts. In any case, I'm back to full strength now and have much better flexibility. Once you are halfway through healing, you should discard the brace and let your ankle adjust to use, otherwise it'll always be weak when u play.
