I am stringing with Pollyester should I increase, reduce or maintain the same tension I use?

It depends exactly what you should do based on what poly you are using, some lose more tension faster than others. But probably about the same or a little above. Some people say to go above because of the tension loss factor, but poly strins play stiffer, too, so they also say string lower to help soften the feel. That is why I don't suggest going too much above same tension. Also, a lower tension of poly will yield similar results with a syn gut because poly strings produce much less power so a lower tension will help to compensate. I use to string my syn gut at 70 and now I use poly at 57 (once they settle in). I guess I would say string with a reading of the same, knowing it will not be that high and will also lose tension. My machine said 70 when I strung and it wound up around 57, but that turned out to be a good tension.

I use a Toa polygut or Babolat Duralast
