Have you ever felt mellow or tired on a grey day? For the past two weeks, I felt, for the lack of better words, shitty. I felt that something wasn't right. The racquet was heavy like it weighed 5 lbs. My body felt cold. There was no adrenaline rush. I was just not heated up. The strokes felts like it had a lot of drag behind. This kind of feeling is bad especially on tournament days. How do you guys try to get over this feeling within a short period of time, I mean like at most 5 minutes?
Maybe I should eat a bar of chocolate before playing or wear extra shirts to keep body warm.
Are you overtraining or playing too much?
Taking a break doesn't sound like a bad idea.
Moreover, are you getting anything to eat? If you're loading up on chocolate or random junk (empty calories, maybe), it's not going to give you energy for the match or practice.
Also, how is your physical health/condition?

So mainly is what I have eaten for the day. I eat healthy with good amount of food. The diet is mainly carbs, milk, meat, orange juices, very few greens, and good amount of bananas. I did stop working-out and food intake had been reduced by 1/8.
The nutrition intake seems fine, except for the greens, but they shouldn't be cutting back on your daily energy. Unless you're practically anorexic, the small cutback shouldn't do this, and at least you've worked out before.
It's likely a small, or not so small, case of burnout or just being tired. Take a break, hit the pool, do something else. Maybe for a week, maybe more.

My solution to this was to sleep at the proper hour for 8 hours... I'm in college so sleep deprivation is a part of my life but once i started to sleep normal hours, I was waking up with a load of energy.

Mountainman,
I hear you and would agree with others that you may well be overtrained.
You may need to take a week or so off.
Has anything changed in your life - girfriend trouble, money worries, etc. . ..?
Needless to say, if you are boozing more than ususal, I'd cut that back, as well.
Feel free to PM. Been there, done that.

I'd say cut the crap and have a burg and a beer, enjoy life, at least for a day.

Make sure to maintain your sleep cycle... If you're in college, your partying schedule may make it more difficult, however try to keep it regular for the most part. It can make the difference between waking in the morning and feeling like a million bucks....or five bucks...

Go see your doctor, get a physical and a blood test, and also ask your doctor if your thyroid functions are normal.
