I played with a guy who had some really old flat balls (the ones I throw away are much better than his). Anyway, my bag was on the other side of the court so didn't go get my balls. Played for an hour or so and my wrist and elbow too have been hurting for a couple of days now. Is that usually the case after hitting with old flat balls if you're not used to?
BTW, it's no fun using old balls when you main weapon is top spin. The suck can barely bounce to knee height and now with top spins, it goes just above knee, you know, the perfect strike zone for the opponent.

Good way to jack-up your arm. Ask yourself, "What did I derive from doing this besides arm pain? "

same caveat applies to the shoulder
and a stiff racquet + harsh strings will only compound the problem

Hey! I use realy flat balls man!
It makes you work harder, you have to be good to deal with those man, that is why I have master spin:mrgreen:
I only get arm/wrist ect problems when hitting wrong, most people just plain don't know how to hit correctly, As for you, you were not changing your techniqe correctly for the play.
But seriously, if the balls were super flat ie no bounce, sqish easy in hand, then it is on you for using something like that, that's just insane

I can see that you have to put in more effort with the swing but I find it less painful since they're a bit lighter.

Think of it as good practice for when you play on grass.

Think of it as good practice for when you play on grass.LMAO! Unless you know that the OP has access to that type of court, you say it like the opportunity is frequently readily available to people in general. How lucky would anyone be to be able to 'play on grass'!
